The challenge

Across hundreds of stores, kitchen exhaust gaps are hard to see

Managing kitchen-exhaust compliance across dozens or hundreds of locations is a real operational load. Every site needs regular cleaning, documentation, and detailed reports. Across a large network, the stores that slip behind are the ones that surface at the worst moment, an audit, an insurance renewal or a franchise review, because no one had a clear view of done, due and overdue.

SAIS Hygiene runs scheduled exhaust and HVAC cleaning for multi-site QSR networks across NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, SA and TAS. We service every site to one standard, with local crews and scheduling to reach your outer stores, not just the metro flagships. We carry the coordination, the compliance paperwork and the reporting, so your operations team can get back to running the business.

Whether a store runs burger grills, fryers or charcoal chicken, every scheduled kitchen exhaust cleaning service covers the whole system, not just the visible stainless: the canopy and filters, the full ductwork run, and the exhaust fan, degreased to bare metal where accessible. See exactly what’s included in our kitchen exhaust cleaning service, or pair it with HVAC duct cleaning across the same visit.

How we help

Kitchen exhaust cleaning built for multi-site QSR groups

Multi-site coordination

One point of contact, one consistent process, one schedule across every store, so your small team isn’t chasing local cleaners city by city.

Consistent compliance

Every exhaust system is maintained to AS 1851-2012, with each clean documented with before-and-after photos, compliance certificates and detailed reports, so head office can see done, due and overdue across the network, and hand an auditor or insurer the evidence per store on demand.

Minimal disruption

We work around your trading hours to minimise downtime, with experience in fast-turnaround cleans that fit overnight or early-morning windows.

Centralised compliance reporting

All documentation is consolidated into a single reporting package for your operations or facilities team, ready for audits, insurance renewals or franchise reviews.
1,000+ sites serviced across NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, SA & TAS
100% jobs documented to AS 1851-2012
1 point of contact for your whole network
30+ photos in every report

We have the local crews and scheduling to service multi-site networks at a predictable cost-per-site, with the same training, same standard, every store. And every clean comes with a detailed report, generally 30 or more before-and-after photos: documented evidence you can hand an insurer, auditor or landlord, proving the ductwork and fan were cleaned, not just the canopy.

How it works

Three steps to a fully documented kitchen exhaust clean

1

Assess & schedule

We assess every site, set the right cleaning frequency for each kitchen's cooking load, and build one schedule across your whole portfolio.
2

Clean to standard

Our trained, accredited technicians clean the canopy, filters, ductwork and exhaust fan, with the system maintained to AS 1851-2012, working around your trading hours.
3

Documented evidence

You get a detailed report, generally with 30 or more photos, plus a certificate for every job. Documented evidence you can hand an insurer, auditor or landlord.

Monthly checks across the network

Who does the monthly inspections at every store?

Since the NSW reforms commenced, landlords have leaned harder on tenants over kitchen-exhaust obligations. Two misreadings recur across leased food-court sites: that monthly cleaning is required regardless of cooking type, and that the monthly inspection between professional cleans must be done by an external contractor. For a network of dozens or hundreds of stores, that second misread is an expensive one. In our reading of AS 1851, neither is quite right.

In our reading of AS 1851

The monthly visual inspection can be carried out by trained store staff working to a documented checklist, rather than requiring an external licensed inspector. Confirm the approach with your fire-safety practitioner or building surveyor. Across a large network that’s the difference between an affordable monthly routine and paying a contractor to attend every store every month.

We’re happy to review your inspection process or assist with its design, and we own the periodic professional clean, documented to standard, so the cleaning side is documented and ready to hand over when a landlord or auditor asks. SAIS does the AS 1851-2012 maintenance and supplies the records the fire-safety practitioner relies on to endorse the AFSS. SAIS does not sign it.

FAQ

Kitchen exhaust cleaning questions from QSR businesses

Can you cover our whole network to the same standard?

Yes. Our crews already service national QSR networks store by store: 1,000+ sites across NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, SA and TAS, with one point of contact coordinating every location. If a store falls outside our reach, we’ll say so before you commit.

How do you keep compliance consistent across franchises?

Every store is serviced on one schedule, with the exhaust system maintained to AS 1851-2012 and each job documented with before-and-after photos, a compliance certificate and a detailed report, consolidated so head office has visibility across every store.

Who can do the monthly inspections between professional cleans?

In our reading of AS 1851, a trained staff member working to a documented checklist can perform the monthly visual inspection. We’re happy to review your process or assist with its design; confirm the approach with your fire-safety practitioner or building surveyor. More here.

How do you minimise disruption to trading?

We schedule around your trading hours. Most cleans run in overnight or early-morning windows for fast turnaround.

How many photos do we get per job?

Generally 30 or more before-and-after photos per clean, delivered with your detailed report.

How often should a QSR kitchen exhaust system be cleaned?

High-volume, high-grease cooking, think burgers and deep frying, generally needs a professional clean of the canopy, filters and ductwork monthly. Charcoal chicken and flame-grill operations can need fortnightly to monthly service. Under AS 1851-2012, an annual professional clean is the minimum for any commercial kitchen. Tell us what each store cooks and we’ll set the right frequency site by site across your network.

What does kitchen exhaust cleaning include at each of our stores?

The same scope at every store: the full exhaust system serviced end to end and degreased to bare metal where accessible, on one schedule and to one standard across the network. Every job finishes with before-and-after photos, a compliance certificate and a detailed report, consolidated so head office holds the same evidence for every store, whether it’s a metro flagship or a regional drive-through.

How is kitchen exhaust cleaning priced for a multi-site network?

Every job is scoped and priced individually, with volume-based pricing for multi-site groups so your cost per store stays predictable as the network grows. Travel and after-hours windows are built into the quote from the start. Tell us how many stores you run and where, and we’ll come back with one coordinated schedule and one price across the network.
